Product Description:
Pat Crawford?s loyal collectors stand in line for each new model. You don?t have to. Here?s his hot new folder in our heavy InterFrame build.

Pat Crawford and his son Wes have an enviable problem as knifemakers: they have trouble keeping up with the demand for their most successful custom designs such as the Point Guard and Crawford/Kasper Folder. The CRKT production versions of these knives have helped the Crawfords reach a wider audience. Now we are delighted to introduce the production version of the Crawford Falcon, over the past year their hottest new custom design.

Although Crawford is famous for his tactical design folders, the Falcon is more traditional in its gently curving shape. Both sizes fill the hand perfectly for exceptional grip, thanks to a pronounced finger choil, butt pommel and a perfectly ergonomic thumb ramp. The frame uses our heavy InterFrame build, with dual stainless steel 420J2 liners, one locking, and heavily textured injection molded Zytel® scales. Handles and scales are through drilled with a distinctive pattern to reduce weight. A Zytel back spacer and Torx® fasteners give exceptional rigidity. Teflon® bearings at the blade pivot make opening and closing smooth, precise and authoritative.

In keeping with the traditional feel, the Falcon?s drop point blade has a slight recurve and a bright satin finish. Of tough AUS 6M stainless steel, it is available in both Razor-Sharp and Combination Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point? Serrated edges.

The ambidextrous thumb disk is a Crawford hallmark. Aggressive friction grooves at the thumb ramp improve grip and locate the Falcon positively in the hand. A custom removable stainless steel clothing/gear clip also receives a bright satin finish. To provide the ultimate in lock security we?ve added the patented* Lake And Walker Knife Safety (LAWKS®), which makes the folder a virtual fixed blade when actuated with a flick of the thumb.

Yes, the Falcon has an attractive and friendly shape, but you really need to heft one. The great feel and grip instantly explain why we chose to offer this successful Crawford design.

About Columbia River
Columbia River Knife & Tool (CRKT) is a Wilsonville, Oregon-based manufacturer of quality knives and tools founded in 1994. The Columbia River Knife catalog has grown and is divided into two categories, Sport and Work Knives, intended for the general public; and Professional Knives, designed for the military, law enforcement, fire department, search and rescue and other emergency services personnel. Founders, Rod Bremer and Paul Gillespie commented on the Columbia River Knife & Tool's rapid growth in the highly competitive cutlery industry: "We began with the vision of offering top quality knives at affordable prices to give the highest possible value," said Gillespie. Fortunately, because we were starting with a blank sheet of paper, we could make the new designs we wanted from the optimum materials, using the latest high tech manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, injection molding and fine blanking. Before packing and shipping each Columbia River Knife & Tool knife, it is inspected for defects in materials and workmanship, the lock and cutting edge are checked, it is opened and closed to assure smoothness of action, and it is lubricated and adjusted if needed. All Columbia River Knife & Tool knives are built incorporating the most advanced equipment and production systems available, and quality is controlled from beginning to end. Knives are built the way they should be built without compromising quality in any part of their creation. Columbia River Knife & Tool accessories are crafted to the same standards as the knives, so that each sheath, for example, lives up to the customers high expectations.
