We began with our powerful InterFrame locking liner construction in an easily cleaned open build, with nickel chrome plated zinc alloy scales featuring an aircraft-style drilled \'skeleton\' design. Weight is reduced without compromising the exceptional strength. The dual liners are 420J2 stainless steel. Handles are designed with an extended guard, generous size and bead-blast finish to give you extra gripping power. Friction grooves at the lock and on the blade spine improve grip in wet and icy conditions.
The high-carbon, AUS 6M stainless steel blades feature a rugged modified drop point shape and bead blast finish. Blade grinds are engineered to retain maximum thickness at the tip and through the length of the spine. This blade is built for real work. Triple-Point Serrations are available on all sizes.
Integrated into the design is the patented* Lake And Walker Knife Safety (LAWKS®), which effectively converts your folder into a fixed blade, very reassuring when you are using your knife for difficult and tiring tasks.
The Mt. Whitney and Denali feature hefty 3.50 in. blades. The Long\'s Peak and Mt. Rainier offer 2.94 in. blades, while the Pike\'s Peak and Mt. Shasta are more pocketable models with 2.50 in. blades.
Double grooved ambidextrous thumb studs allow you to comfortably open or close the blade with a single, smooth, one-handed motion, aided by the Teflon® bearings which guarantee continued smoothness.
All fasteners are Torx®, proven superior in initial assembly and owner maintenance, such as tightening the pivot screw for proper blade tension after years of heavy, sustained work loads.
The convenient stainless steel clothing/gear clip is Teflon plated and easily removable, attached with three Torx fasteners.

Columbia River Knife & Tool (CRKT) is a Wilsonville, Oregon-based manufacturer of quality knives and tools founded in 1994. The Columbia River Knife catalog has grown and is divided into two categories, Sport and Work Knives, intended for the general public; and Professional Knives, designed for the military, law enforcement, fire department, search and rescue and other emergency services personnel.
Founders, Rod Bremer and Paul Gillespie commented on the Columbia River Knife & Tool's rapid growth in the highly competitive cutlery industry: "We began with the vision of offering top quality knives at affordable prices to give the highest possible value," said Gillespie. Fortunately, because we were starting with a blank sheet of paper, we could make the new designs we wanted from the optimum materials, using the latest high tech manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, injection molding and fine blanking.
Before packing and shipping each Columbia River Knife & Tool knife, it is inspected for defects in materials and workmanship, the lock and cutting edge are checked, it is opened and closed to assure smoothness of action, and it is lubricated and adjusted if needed.
All Columbia River Knife & Tool knives are built incorporating the most advanced equipment and production systems available, and quality is controlled from beginning to end. Knives are built the way they should be built without compromising quality in any part of their creation.
