| Product Description: |
Pat Crawfords most popular hand-made tactical work tool is now available as an affordable production knife.
Knifemakers Guild member Pat Crawford and his son Wes are acknowledged as leaders in the design and hand crafting of tactical working folders. The Point Guard has been their most popular seller for several years. It incorporates what Pat feels are the best features of the many models he has designed and built over many years.
There is only one problem. Pat and Wes cannot make them fast enough to meet demand, especially from the law enforcement community and the worlds most elite fighting forces, such as the Navy SEALS, Army Special Forces, DEA, FBI and Secret Service.
The CRKT Point Guard is true to Pats design in every detail, with the addition of our proven, rock-solid, overbuilt InterFrame construction with 420J2 double stainless steel liners, 6061 T6 hard anodized aluminum back spacer, Torx fasteners, Teflon bearings, and Zytel scales. An integral part of the Point Guard is the patented Lake And Walker Knife Safety (LAWKS) to provide lock security under extreme use.
The modern Point Guard design is slim and trim, with no excess. There is just enough handle to hold the blade. Holes and slots are incorporated to minimize handle weight and located so that frame strength is not reduced.
The rear of the handle is rounded to maintain the minimal profile, which permits the knife to be held comfortably regardless of hand size. At top rear of the handle are friction grooves that create greater control in both natural and reverse grips.
The blade of AUS 6M stainless steel is a drop point design for greater utility. The high hollow ground makes resharpening easier. An ambidextrous thumb disk for one hand opening is used instead of a thumb stud to minimize the width of the frame. Both Razor-Sharp and Combination Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated blades are available.
A removable, black Teflon-plated, custom designed clothing/gear clip is standard on the Point Guard.
This is a knife that all of us have wanted, but up to now, all of us could not own. Now, thanks to the collaboration between Crawford Knives and CRKT, the production Point Guard is within the reach of every knife user. |

| About Columbia River |
| Columbia River Knife & Tool (CRKT) is a Wilsonville, Oregon-based manufacturer of quality knives and tools founded in 1994. The Columbia River Knife catalog has grown and is divided into two categories, Sport and Work Knives, intended for the general public; and Professional Knives, designed for the military, law enforcement, fire department, search and rescue and other emergency services personnel.
Founders, Rod Bremer and Paul Gillespie commented on the Columbia River Knife & Tool's rapid growth in the highly competitive cutlery industry: "We began with the vision of offering top quality knives at affordable prices to give the highest possible value," said Gillespie. Fortunately, because we were starting with a blank sheet of paper, we could make the new designs we wanted from the optimum materials, using the latest high tech manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, injection molding and fine blanking.
Before packing and shipping each Columbia River Knife & Tool knife, it is inspected for defects in materials and workmanship, the lock and cutting edge are checked, it is opened and closed to assure smoothness of action, and it is lubricated and adjusted if needed.
All Columbia River Knife & Tool knives are built incorporating the most advanced equipment and production systems available, and quality is controlled from beginning to end. Knives are built the way they should be built without compromising quality in any part of their creation. Columbia River Knife & Tool accessories are crafted to the same standards as the knives, so that each sheath, for example, lives up to the customers high expectations.
